Information technology leaders strive to implement appropriate technology to solve problems and leverage technology in innovative ways. It can be a challenge to determine how to consume and integrate information technology in an existing operational environment.

Consider opportunities to use IT to solve a real-world problem. Ideas for real-world problems could be:

Using information technology to assist in treating and stopping the Ebola outbreak

Designing a network infrastructure that could bring a poorer part of the world into the twenty-first century

Creating a website, mobile application, and/or database that supports connecting those in need of addiction treatment to centers and

practitioners who are immediately available

After brainstorming some ideas, decide on a potential capstone project. Describe your idea. Explain how you will scale back the scope of your idea into a project that can be completed within the time constraints of this course.
