Designing a comprehensive and ethical framework for end-of-life care is undoubtedly difficult. Many different parts play into end-of-life care and it would be necessary to have people who specialize in each part on your team to help you design this framework. My first step in designing this framework would be finding someone who understands the death system well, someone who is an expert on medical ethics, and someone who has plenty of experience with end-of-life management, all people who are knowledgeable about their parts. Autonomy and beneficence would be prioritized for end-of-life care. It's important that everyone, even those in the last stages of life have autonomy. There is nothing more dehumanizing than taking away someone's ability or right to choose what they want in their life. Beneficence is also important in end-of-life care because the goal should always be to help the patient, we don't want to do anything that could harm them. At the end of the day, the patient has a right to choose what they do or do not want, and the best thing we can do is explain everything to them thoroughly.
