A factory currently has 6 large induction motors connected to4.16-kV switch gear supplied radially from a single transformer. A plant expansion is planned in which 4 morelarge 4-kV motors must be added to the system. The current switch gear can not supply all 10 motors, because both the switch gear bus rating and the transformer rating would be exceeded. Propose a 4.16-kV system design to accommodate the new and existing motors.
