Assignment
A continuous three spans beam with centre-to-centre distance of 6 m supports 150 mm thick one-way slabs as shown below. The beams have clear spans of 8 m, 9 m, and 8 (face-to-face of 400 mm square columns). The floor supports ceiling, duckwork, and lighting fixtures weighing a total 0.5 kPa, ceramic floor tile weighting 0.7 kPa, partitions equivalent to a uniform dead load of 1.0 kPa, and a live load of 2.0 kPa.
Details of the beam cross sections at different locations (1: at support A, 2: midspan of beam AB, 3: at support B, and 4: midspan of beam BC) are shown in the figure.
a) Design the transverse shear reinforcement for the span AB and the span BC. (Select one critical section for each span and use the simplified method)
b) Calculate midspan deflections for the span AB and the span BC. Check whether the limit of total deflection is satisfied (Δ/Lef ≤ 1/500) or not. Consider both compression reinforcement and tension reinforcement.

The project is about the shear reinforcement calculation of a transverse section and also about the mid span deflection. The various formulas are used in step by step procedure to design the shear reinforcement. Australian standards are followed throughout in the design.
The solution you sent is very different similar with my classmates i appreciate the answer should be shear reinforcement and you gave me the same part b is perfect because deflection is in mm Dear expert team please write everything in correct format Highly recommended, Projects team went out of their way to get this assignment done in the short span of time. I have used their service so many times, I am fully satisfied by their outstanding work.
The civil engineering I need all steps of calculations. See attached Am grateful for expertsmind team, they are doing a great job, helping students like me to get good grades tackling such difficult assignments. They should continue such good work to carry students along with them in the area of tutoring. thanks
