You will learn much more about the research topics throughout your graduate program. Choose a topic that you also want to write about for your final project.

In your discussion, consider a topic you would be interested in investigating. Create a simple research design. The content of the Week 3 videos will help you with this activity.

EXAMPLE: What is the relationship between BURNOUT and JOB SATISFACTION among NURSES?

Topic Selection: Explain what psychological concept you will explore in this proposed study. Provide an example of published research that has already explored this topic, and explain the topic and outcomes of the study using this article. Then use the article to support a study you might do, which you will explain in the following sections.

Methodology: what methods will you use to collect data?

Population: what group of people will you specifically focus your study on?

Sampling: how will you choose a sample (subgroup) of people so your sample is representative of the population?

Data Collection - Measures: what will you use to measure the variables you plan to explore? The measure should be a published measure.

Data Analysis - Statistics: what types of analyses will you perform?

Presentation and Publication: how and to whom would you present your findings?
