Learning outcome 4: articulate and explain ethical dilemmas with regard to privacy and security concerns that may arise in data visualisation projects.
Task description: This is the final assessment for CIS8025, this assessment helps you to interact and collaborate effectively in teams like in a real-time project to design and implement your final data visualisation project. This assessment gives you an opportunity to work with market-leading data visualisation tools Tableau and present your findings.
Task details: Task 1 Big Data Visualisation Implementation Plan (1000 words) Select a big data visualisation platform other than Tableau and explain how your Team will implement and encourage adoption and use of your chosen big data visualisation platform. The discussion should be structured and compare with Tableau with data visualisation platform implementation these issues: (1.1) Software and Hardware Requirements, (1.2) Licensing, (1.3) Training, and (1.4) How Information Security and Privacy Compliance would be enforced using the big data visualisation platform you recommended other than Tableau.
Task 2 Dashboard Data Visualisation Project with Tableau (40 marks, 1000 words) Your Team's chosen Data set (file name) will be used for Assignment 3 Task 2 to implement four different Tableau views set specified in Assignment 2
Task 2.1 Tableau Desktop Graph/Table View that highlights an important trend and/or pattern with a brief accompanying description (50 words)
Task 2.2 Tableau Desktop Graph/Table View that highlights another important trend and/or pattern with a brief accompanying description (50 words)
Task 2.3 Tableau Desktop Graph/Table View that highlights another important trend and/or pattern with a brief accompanying description (50 words)
Task 2.4 Tableau Desktop View that highlights another important trend and/or pattern by location (Geo Map) with a brief accompanying description (50 words)
Task 2.5 Tableau Dashboard, Justification for Dashboard Design. Provide a screen capture of your Big Data Visualisation (Named by your Team) Dashboard, describe, and justify in detail the design and functionality of your Big Data Visualisation Dashboard. Emphasise the purpose of the four Tableau Desktop views to support the decision-making of an organisation in proactively managing events/exceptions relative to your chosen data set drawing on relevant good dashboard design literature (800 words)
Task 3 Team Presentation of Big Data Visualisation Dashboard (20 Marks 500 words) Task 3.1 The Team is required to create and record (audio-visual) a PowerPoint presentation of Task 2 Big Data Visualisation Dashboard and four specific Four Tableau Views (Task 2.1, Task 2.2, Task 2.3, Task 2.4). The Team will collectively in a power point presentation describe and justify the design and functionality of their Big Data Visualisation Dashboard. The Team will emphasise the purpose of each of four Tableau Desktop views to support the decision making of an organisation in proactively managing events/exceptions relative to the chosen data set (Named File)
Power point presentation should be professionally presented, logically structured as outlined above and visually appealing, making appropriate use of text and graphics drawing on best design principles Top Ten Slides Tips

Task 4 Big Data Visualisation Project - Individual Team Member Journal and MS Team participate (500 words)
Each Team member needs to maintain and complete their own journal for Report 3 listing key activities undertaken by them as an individual team member in terms of date, time duration, type of activity and explanation of how their participation in each activity contributed to completing Report 3. Your evidence must be reflected in each individual's participation and discussion posting in the MS Team.
