BSBLED802 Lead learning strategy implementation
WRITTEN ACTIVITY
Your task is to design and develop a learning strategy for your organisation. In order to do this you will need to prepare by completing the following activities:
1. Using your organisation as a basis for this assessment, you will be first required to look at your organisations strategic requirements and evaluate those against approaches to workplace learning and training. Identify how this activity incorporates continuous improvement processes.
a. In this activity you are required to identify and outline how this learning strategy will improve the competitiveness of the organisation
b. Write a brief summary of the evaluation including a description of the technology and software requirements needed for the organisational learning strategy
c. Provide a description of the sources of information and where they were located for this activity.
2. Then you must review your quality policies and procedures and identify where
changes will be required to support the learning strategy. This will need to include:
a. At least two different methods for deploying the policies and procedures after they have been updated or written.
b. Provide a copy of the quality policies and procedures as they relate to the learning strategy.
c. Provide a description of the compliance requirements and obligations as they relate to organisational learning. Including:
i. International e-learning requirements
ii. AQTF compliance requirements
iii. Standards for Registered Training Organisations (if applicable)
3. Then you need to determine the human resource requirements required to develop and implement the learning strategy. You will need to outline:
a. Who is required
b. How many people will be needed to develop and implement the strategy
c. What their job roles will be (include their responsibilities and parameters)
d. List the legislation, codes of practice and national standards relevant to each job role.
4. The next step is to actually design and develop a flexible organisational learning strategy. The strategy must ensure it addresses the requirements for:
a. The organisation
b. The instructor/trainer
c. The learner
d. Contingencies
5. Other items that must be addressed in the learning strategy include:
a. Units of competency proposed for learning from courses that are either:
i. Accredited
ii. Non-accredited
b. How participation will be ensured
c. Ensure you outline who will conduct the training and where it will be conducted
6. You will also need to develop each of the following:
a. Learning and assessment strategies
b. Procedures for allocating and managing resources required for learning
c. Procedures for allocating staff members to roles
d. Procedures for assessment and recognition
e. Procedures for procurement and supply
7. The next activity is to create an implementation plan for the organisation outlining the methods you will use to implement all new policies and procedures. This will include a communication and consultation plan
8. Provide a copy of all policies and procedures for your assessment.
9. Provide a copy of your learning strategy
10. Provide a copy of the human resource requirements for this strategy
You will need to use the above documents for your practical activity. Please ensure all documents are detailed enough to implement them into your organisation successfully.
