Requirements Summary
Design, configure, test and implement a network infrastructure for a small Computer Training Business named Alpha-Tech which plans to open a training center located in Largo. The training center will serve students preparing to acquire IT industry certifications by taking on-site classes. The network infrastructure at the site will be able to serve the different subnets for students, faculty, administration and IT staff, as well as, all the other computing resources and intermediary devices required to support the training center.
Project Technical Requirements
A. Design and build a network with subnets capable of providing access to 30 workstations (students), 3 workstations (instructors), 5 workstations (administration), 2 workstations (IT staff), 2 printers (1 for Students/Faculty, and 1 for other staff)and 2 servers(Canvas Server, Administration Server)
B. One router to provide default-gateway services to the different subnets and access to the internet. On the router designate an interface to serve as the interface to the Internet Service Provider (ISP) network.
C. Allocate Class C IPv4 private addresses to all devices (workstations, servers, switches, router, printers) in their respective subnets.
D. Use CiscoPass as the password both for line console and VTY login access on router and switches.
Based on the requirements described above, develop a high-level network topology diagram and tables:
A. Label all network devices
B. On the network topology in packet-tracer, place andlabel only two workstations per subnet
C. Label all servers and printers
D. For each subnet, create a table which contains IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway information assigned to each device in the network
Install, configure and test the solution
A. Configure all devices
B. Test connectivity between hosts in each subnet and between hosts in different subnetsas well as from IT workstations to workstations, servers, printers, switches and router. Document the connectivity test results in the project Word document.
