Multisim simulation of electronic circuits.

1. A word document with description of steps, images of circuit considered, simulation diagrams, and conclusions (simulation diagrams should contain graphs of all pertinent voltages and currents, all curves should be visually distinguishable and labeled). The word document should include ALL information needed to understand the project.

2. All simulation and graph files that you used. Circuit diagrams and graphs should be labeled in such a way that all referenced currents and voltages should be identifiable and all graphs clearly referenced to the type of simulation they show. The simulation files are needed to verify your simulations. They should be actual files containing all results of simulations.

Part A. Digital Circuit

1. Design an NMOS inverter with linear load. Set the supply voltage and dissipated power level and then find Vlow, Vhigh and all circuit parameters. Simulate your design, clearly showing the two states of inverter and all important currents and voltages.

2. Using your simulation circuit build a VTC of your inverter and find its noise margins.

3. Experimentally study the dynamic performance of your inverter by applying a rectangular pulse signal as the input. Using the transient response graph, find the dynamic parameters of the inverter: Trise, Tfall, propagation delay. All your findings should be clearly seen on the graphs.

4. Design a three input NAND circuit and stimulate it. Compare the values of Vhigh, Vlow, Id with those of the inverter. Draw conclusions.

Comments.

1. All simulations should be done using Simulation analysis, not oscilloscope.

2. All graphs should be on white background, with visible scale. The reference to the displayed curves should be READABLE. The reference should always include the node name on the relevant circuit.

3. The explanation to the graphs should be positioned as close as possible to the graphs themselves, so that I can see both.
