An 8-residue linear polymer of glucose can be prepared from starch. Assume that the linkages between the glucose residues in the octamer are the same as those found in starch., design an experiment that would verify the molecular weight of this octamer. That is, you wish to prove that the powder you have isolated is in fact an octamer of glucose. Assume that you have a pure, dry sample of this carbohydrate, and have dissolved 5 mg in a final volume of 1 mL. Outline the protocol, dilutions required, etc., and the anticipated results of the experiment.
