We will use modern ventilation planning software to analyse, review and plan the ventilation requirements for a mine ventilation system.
1. You have to design an appropriate ventilation system (auxiliary) to allow for development of level 1 until through ventilation is established.
2. Develop an appropriate ventilation system for production and development of the mine until through ventilation has been established on level 3.
3. Design an appropriate ventilation system for production for whole mine through ventilation
4. Develop an appropriate auxiliary ventilation system for stope development
5. you have to specify, at a minimum in terms of a fixed fan pressure, suitable fans for both main and auxiliary ventilation of the mine.
For diesel loading the following standard should be applied, 0.05 m3/s per kW of rated power.
Maximum air velocity in main decline 6 m/s, in stopes 4m/s, in the shaft 20 m/s.
The mine does not have any indications of methane or radon gas and at 500m depth the virgin rock temperature is 32°C. Surface climate is similar to Ballarat.
