Design a variable structure control system that will maximize the throughput while maintaining all levels within their maximum and minimum limits. The constraint that determines the maxi mum throughput could be the maximum feed target, the maximum product flow target, or any pump-valve combination in the system. (The targets are specified by the plant personnel.)
