Question: A Traffic Light system at a road intersection has a finite number of states that the light could be in. The traffic light in the intersection works as follows: For a short period of time the lights are red in both directions (vertical and horizontal) for 12 seconds. The lights do not change directly from red to green. They first change to red and yellow simultaneously for 6 seconds. After the red/yellow lights, the green light lasts for 80 seconds. The lights then changed into yellow for 6 seconds. There are 8 states Red1, Red2 -> Red1 +yellow1, Red2-> Green1 , Red2-> Yellow1, Red2-> Red 1, Red2-> Red1,Red2 +yellow2 -> Red1, Green2 -> Red1,Yellow then back to state 1 in this case red1,red2 1= horizontal 2=vertical
I have the Karnaugh maps and here is the minimal logic for the output functions:
R1 = A + B'

Y1 = A'.C

G1= A'.B.C'

R2=A'. B'
Y2=A.C

G2 =A.B.C'
