Design a polarity protector for a citizens band (CB) radio thatconnects to the electrical system for an automobile through a"cigarette lighter" plug. Your circuit should protect the radioshould its power supply leads be connected backwards. Such an errorcan severly damage the radio. There are at least two approaches tothis problem, one involving series diodes, the other involvingparallel diodes. Consider the possible solutions and discuss the relative advantages and disadvantages of each method.
