Can you please look at my project proposal for my final year dissertation, will like it to be done by an expert as i aim to achieve A+ 90% or Above in it. (the Abstract and scope can be redefine to match the topic which must stay the same "Marinisation of MPFM sensors")
It involve both research and design work using solidworks or CATIA V8 2015. want it done latest by 23rd of October 2015.

This design study aim to evaluate the marinisation of multiple phase flow meter sensor with a view to improve its effectiveness in term of durability, sustainability and reliability, specifically for use and long-term survival in the harsh environment. As the exploration of offshore oil and gas resources are frequently located in inimical environment, due to its nature, it's a dangerous activity having higher cost to marine lives and the environment. While it's social and economic benefits are high, industry and regulatory authorities are to ensure there's a balance between the risks and benefit it present.
Multiphase meter are device that can be used to measure individual fluid flow rates of oil and gas when more than one fluid is flowing through a pipeline. It does provide accurate readings even when different flow regimes are present in the multiphase flow. Multiphase flow metering system relies on a number of individual sensors and transmitters that all each directly influence the overall quality of the measurements.
- Pressure and Temperature measurement devices, Gamma-ray Instruments, Differential pressure measurement devices, Electrical sensors such as capacitance, Conductance and microwave systems.
There are a number of different designs on the market but they allfollow the principle of measuring the bulk flow rate of the multiphase mixture, calculating the individual phase fractions and then using these to give the flow rates of individual streams. As Oil and gas companies have billions of dollars tied up in their reservoirs, use of a multiphase flow meters providing real-time information on reservoir production could provide a significant competitive advantage. Thus, the importance of this device to be able to survive and long-term exposure to harsh marine environment.
This project will use engineering CAD software such as CATIA V8 or Solid-works for the design and Finite element analysis (FEA) to evaluate the stress and structural damage multiphase flow meter encounter while operating in a subsea environment, with aim to redesign the components. Also, Star CCM+ will be use to evaluate the flow of fluid around the device to visualize areas that will require extensive protection.
Project Objectives
1. To research Literature review on the current Multiphase flow meters sensors in the oil and gas industry
2. To Investigate and identify the best Multiphase flow meter in use, using it as a case study for the evaluation.
3. To design a multiphase flow meter component using CATIA V8, subjecting it to the loading modes in the marine environments.
4. To perform Finite Element analysis (FEA) and Flow simulation on the design, further redesigning it base on results obtained.
5. Recommendation base on the result for the design of Multiphase flow meter sensors.
