Problem-

Design a discrete common emitter BJT amplifier to have overall gain of -8 V/V. (Determine value for R1, R2, RC and RE)

Rsig = 10kΩ, RL = 2 kΩ, VCC = 9V,

For calculation, assume β = 100, vBE.on = 0.7 V, C = ∞, and VA = ∞.   

1. IE = ~2mA,

2. Current in the voltage divider is ~ 0.2 mA

3. VB = ~3V
