Suppose that the pulse rates (per minute) of healthy male adults is normally distributed with mean m = 70 and standard deviation s = 4.

Find the percentage of male adults whose pulse rates are less than 65.

A male patient has a pulse rate 79 per minute.  Is this patient's pulse rate above the 90th percentile of healthy male adults? Find the 90th percentile.

According to a behavioral risk study, 40% of college students in certain region of the country often don't wear seatbelt. If a random sample of 7 college students in this region were selected, what is the probability that six or more students in this sample often don't wear seatbelt? (Binomial Experiment is assumed.)

If number of new cases of disease A occur in a community following a Poisson process and is, on average, 3 cases per day for the next few days, what is the probability that there will be no new cases tomorrow?

In a research study concerning body weights, researchers estimated the mean body weight and it was 150 lb and standard deviation was 15 lb. What does Chebychev's inequality tells us about the distribution of the body weights in the range from 120 lb to 180 lb?
