Overview

Beer tourism is a growing phenomenon. This assignment will focus on researching and planning tourist product with direct ties to the beer industry. The students will research and plan a beer-trail situated 100km from the college, an area with growing numbers of local craft breweries. The Waterloo Ale-Trail example may be used for guidance.

You have been chosen to research, plan and present a local beer trail in the Greater Toronto Area.

You will need toprovide descriptions and details of the local breweries, their heritage and traditions surrounding beer production, available beer products, as well as detailed descriptions of characteristics of the beer.

Directions to Learners

1. Research and explain what is a beer trail, please provide two examples.
2. Research microbreweries in the 100 km radius (you will need to pick four breweries)

You can choose any location in Canada or outside.

1. Write a brief description of the microbreweries (communities, location, hours of operation, price range, menu/food options and type).
2. Provide description of 3 beers available every location: Alcohol/Vol, Style, aroma color and other details. (You can pick and focus 3 beers per location)

(Few Suggestions: Include photos, maps of the trail, price location images)
