Assignment:

• A narrative description of the clinical nursing problem/issue and its significance (The role of nutritional interventions in reducing costs of treatments and readmissions in heart failure patients).
• Statement of the clinical question in the PICO format.
• Identification of search strategy. Include a clear and logical description of the search strategy along with the databases used, search terms and number of articles retrieved. Identify the criteria used to choose or eliminate articles
• Studies reviewed (must include a minimum of six primary studies and/or systematic reviews). Must have been published within the last 5-7 years.
• Synthesize the overall evidence base including: study designs, populations, interventions, outcome measures, and findings. Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the evidence and indicate how the weaknesses affect the readiness of the intervention for use in clinical practice (if they do). Include a determination of the strength of the evidence you have reviewed, using an accepted rating system (AACN, Johns Hopkins, or another of your choice - cite whichever you use). This rating should be completed on the whole of the research that you've analyzed (not on each individual study).
• A conclusion that addresses the "state of the science" on your topic and your recommendation regarding application in practice.
