(a) The initial value of a variable can be determined in a manner similar to the final value. Derive the general expression for the initial value.

(b) The transfer function can be inverted to give

Discuss whether this is also a transfer function describing the process,

(c) The transfer function is sometimes referred to as the impulse response of the (linear) system. Demonstrate why this statement is true.
