In population health practice, a community assessment is a strategic plan that describes the health of a community by collecting, analyzing, and using data to educate and mobilize communities, develop priorities, obtain resources, and plan actions to improve health. There are several types of community assessments. A windshield survey is a tool to obtain an initial understanding of the community. upon assessing the area in Southwest detroit, around LaSed Senior and Youth Center at 7150 Vernor hwy, Detroit, MI 48209. which is a Community advocacy agency offering bi-lingual services and programs including the Senior Citizen Wellness Center, Youth Enrichment Programs, immigration and translation services, and Community Navigation services including MiBridges assistance.
