An example of this would be a nurse monitoring a patient's blood pressure from home, through a tracking device. This technology is changing the way healthcare providers deliver and monitor patient care. This information can then be assessed and compared to other data obtained from other patients, including patients in other countries. This is beneficial for sharing data to determine effective treatments vs. those that are less effective.

The World Health Organization gathers data from around the world, through the internet of things. This data can be reviewed by various countries and used to address international health care needs. "With the assistance of the Internet of Things, the fast-developing Healthcare Internet of Things, has promoted the healthcare ecosystem into the era of Health 5.0 and enables many promising medical applications' (Zhang et al., 2022). When evaluating community health workers in Brazil, in 2018 the country reported to have 436,590 community health workers. However, in 2020, the country reported to have 281,207 community health workers. This is a significant decline which makes it curious to evaluate the correlation between the pandemic and the drastic decline in healthcare workers. The internet of things could be deployed in Brazil to increase the workforce, by allowing more health care workers to care for patients remotely. This would decrease the likelihood of being exposed to Covid while working in a healthcare setting. It would be beneficial for Brazil to evaluate successful remote care designs of other areas of the world. This would give them a sense of what type of care can be done remotely and what systems work best in other countries, that could be adopted in Brazil.
