Case Study: There many are things that can infiltrate, weaken, and even destroy nearly any environment. Consider all of the weeds that can and often do invade lawns and gardens. An entire industry has been built around identifying different types of "weeds," the effects that each has, and how to treat and ultimately eliminate them. The same could be said of pest control in building maintenance, and germs and diseases in the medical field. In each of these industries and in others, you can find identification charts with pictures or iconic representations of each problem, along with a description and a solution for elimination.

Every organization faces threats to the health of its culture. In the discussion activity in Module 1, you identified elements that you feel led to ineffective organizational cultures. In this assignment, you will hone in on those elements and others, describing each factor's effects and how to overcome them.

Question: Using the Problem ID Template (below)

• Give a brief introduction that explains the chart's purpose and what the reader can expect.
• Lists 3 to 5 key factors that contribute to ineffective and non-performing organizational cultures. (Add a representative symbol or icon for each factor if you wish.)
• Describes each factor and gives an example from your own experience for each. If you do not have an example from your own experience, create a plausible example.
• Describes a solution for avoiding or overcoming each factor in general, and then a solution for the example that you gave for each factor.
