To get started, watch the movie Wit (2001) by Mike Nichols. The movie is available on Amazon and Vimeo. As you watch the movie, choose two or more important themes you observed in the movie and develop them in regard to aspects of health care services. The goal is to identify key aspects of inpatient care portrayed in this movie. For instance, one theme is the objectification of patients. You might find literature on patient identity, nursing care, and end-of-life that could be helpful in framing your themes. Your themes have to be healthcare-related. Then discuss your perspective on how the medical profession needs to be changed based on the themes you developed (consider aspects such as medical school admissions, training, and employment incentives). You should relate your recommendations to some of the material you learned this week, such as VBP.
