You will write two journals that reflect your personal reactions to interpersonal interactions you have with one or more people in any part of your life, based on concepts and skills discussed in class. The purpose of the journal is to help you identify barriers and/or connections you have encountered with the other person(s) in the interactions. Information from journals may be shared in class before final journals are uploaded to D2L. In your journal, respond to the questions:

Identify and describe an interaction between you and one or two people.
Describe your personal thoughts and feelings. What were you feeling, what were you thinking?
Identify the reason(s) you believe you had these particular thoughts and feelings. Why were you thinking the things you were thinking? Why were you feeling the things you were feeling?
Identify and discuss the connections and/or barriers you feel with that person(s) and why you think you feel this way.
Consider the situation again from a social work perspective. What concepts, skills, theories help you rethink or understand the situation? What have you learned in your social work classes that provide a new perspective on what happened? You can use content from any of your social work courses this semester.
