She has disclosed to the case manager that she has begun cutting after watching a TV show which featured the practice. The case manager believes the client, who is aged 15, is not at risk of more serious harm and she does not have a mental illness or disability. The client lives at home with her mother. Explain what advice you would give to the case manager about their responsibilities to the client and a suitable response.
