Description
Hello everyone, and welcome to week 6.
Taking stock of where we are and where we want to be!
We are in the midst of the holidays. The time between semesters. Maybe you are spending time with family and friends. Maybe you have made some New Year's Resolutions? Maybe you are thinking about how you could improve yourself, manage your life more effectively, find more joy in the things you do?
Sometimes it helps to think about our futures, and the people we would like to become in the future. Or, alternately, the people we fear becoming.
Researchers talk about these future selves as hoped-for and feared possible selves. Hoped-for selves are the selves we aspire to become. Feared selves are the ones we are working to avoid becoming.
1. Please describe your most important hoped-for self and your most important feared self.
2. And describe what you are doing on a daily basis to achieve or avoid these possible selves.
