Question: Describe your level of confidence in using climate models to predict climate change. What evidence swayed your opinion from reading the article below?

The most compelling evidence of climate change for me is the exponential rising of ocean temperatures that we have experienced over the last few decades. The ocean dissolves approximately %30 of the Carbon Dioxide that is released into the Earth's atmosphere. This means that the increase of Carbon Dioxide emissions created by human activity has also increased the amount of Carbon Dioxide that is dissolved in the ocean and transformed by phytoplankton into organic matter. The result of this process is the release of large amounts of Oxygen into the atmosphere that is necessary to sustain life as we know it on our planet. When the ocean absorbs more carbon dioxide than the phytoplankton can handle from human activities, (like the burning of fossil fuels globally), the remaining Carbon Dioxide is dissolved in the water and results in ocean acidification.

Despite popular belief, our oceans are the true lungs of the world, and failure to reduce our emissions and restore a healthy balance to how much Carbon Dioxide is converted into Oxygen will result in truly devastating circumstances in the future.
