A major current issue in HR involves changes in health care resulting from the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (otherwise known as "Obamacare"). It is essential for future HR practitioners to have an understanding of the impact of this law on an organization.

For this assignment, you are to conduct research on the law and its impact. Using 3-5 resources, you should provide a summary of the law, explain its impact on corporations, and describe your final "position" on the value of the act. For this assignment, credible internet articles are acceptable to use as resources. You may also want to find and incorporate articles that show competing perspectives on the law (i.e., pro vs. con) or give a personal application from your own work experience. Be sure to conclude with your final position on the issue.
