Look for reported inter-rater reliability, test-retest reliability, or a measure of internal consistency such as Cronbach's alpha. Describe the results of reliability testing.
Then check the tool's validity. Describe, whether the tool was tested against another tool, such as a gold standard. Or was it just reviewed by experts? Most importantly, locate a reference about the predictive validity of the screening test. Is it sensitive? A screening test should have high sensitivity. Diagnostic tests should have higher specificity.
