involved in structured activities with someone more skilled than they are. This type of learning fosters cognitive growth. The more experienced person can be a parent, and older brother or sister, a teacher, or a more skilled friend just to name a few examples.

Vygotsky's zone of proximal development is the difference between what children can do alone, and what they can do with assistance. Please identify a time in your life as a child when someone helped you by answering the following questions. Please use a minimum of 50 words per questions.
