Briefly describe what type of organization SST is.

Would you consider ShotSpotter a social venture? Why or why not? Some additional research will be necessary here in that you will need to first research, and then define, what a social venture is. Does the fact that the company is a for profit organization impact whether or not it's a social venture? Provide a couple examples, and associated discussion, of other organizations that might be considered "social ventures" to support your position.

Would you consider the venture capitalists that invested in SST "impact investors"? Why or why not? Once again some additional research will be necessary in that you will need to research, and then define, what an impact investor is. Then use this definition to assess whether or not you consider ShotSpotter's investors to be impact investors.
