Consider three spheres of the same size completely submerged at the same depth in a pan of water. (Imagine that the balls are in the middle of the water, not on the bottom, and not at the surface. Also, initially the ball are being held in place.)

Sphere A is made of lead, sphere B is made of a plastic that has the same density as water, and sphere C is made of foam (the type of material of which swimming pool floats are made).

-Using Newton's Laws, describe what equilibrium positions of the three spheres would be if they were all released.

-In their new positions, list the weights of the three spheres from highest to lowest.

-In their new positions, list the buoyant forces of the three spheres from highest to lowest.
