Problem

Child maltreatment is a problem with a complex set of influences at multiple bioecological levels. The most effective prevention and intervention programs aim to reduce risk and/or increase protective factors in the microsystem and exosystem (see Figure 8.2 in Chapter 8.4 of your textbook). Imagine that you have been awarded a grant to develop a prevention or intervention program aimed at reducing child neglect and abuse in your community (either the community you live in now or the community that you grew up in). Unfortunately, the size of the grant means that you likely only have enough money for the program you design to target one 1-2 risk or protective factors. You must respond to both parts.
