In 2013 the explosion at the Magnablend chemical plant which manufactured chemicals for the oil and gas industry required 1,000 a residents to be evacuated. 2013 the fertilizer plant in West, Texas exploded causing evacuation of the town and 15 firefighters died. In August 2015 at DriChem in Conroe, Texas there was an explosion and residents of the town were required to shelter in place. In any of these incidents the local hospital may have received patients that were contaminated. Briefly describe the procedure for gross and water-based decontamination at a health facility for contaminated patients that have been exposed to hazardous chemicals. How can the need for personal protective equipment be determined?
