A study was conducted to test the hypothesis that a certain vaccine could trigger the development of autism in young children. Twelve children were recruited for the study, all of whom had experienced some form of developmental delay (including 8 that had been diagnosed with autism). When the children's medical records were examined, it was revealed that all 12 had received the vaccine within the 30-day period before they had been diagnosed with autism. The researchers concluded their hypothesis was supported by the data.
