The ICT industry has been talking about a new information management system which is on the market which streamlines several management systems into one. Everyone in industry is talking about it and the Government is being proactive and is in the planning stage of introducing the new information management system across several faculties. Your team will be responsible for the procurement of the resources, and the overall project management. The computer system requirements needed for the new system are different to the existing systems used. The project is going to be one of the biggest ICT projects that has been implemented to date. It will require the merging of several smaller systems into one. You will be required to also have several systems analysts who will be working hard every step of the way to ensure that the governments objectives are achieved.

As the program manager for this huge Government project, you want to ensure that you have the best team of experts on board, as well conduct some research about current best practice for the resources you are responsible to acquire. Your team needs to be fully up to date with their knowledge and need to have the right skills to be able to implement the projects.
