One of the most amazing experiences of my life was my trip to Nairobi Kenya. I had hooked up with this hot guy nicknamed "Junior" several times and he was from there so had invited me to visit there with him. He was studying to become a nurse at NYU and going back to see his family. I decided to go since I had never been to Africa. I told him that I wanted to donate to an AIDs organization while I was there and go on a safari. Junior introduced me to his family and they were so accommodating. His mom made us this tasty goat stew. The safari was breathtaking. We seen a lion kill a zebra. Then a big herd of elephants stormed across the scene and the lions all scattered until the elephants went through. There was a baby elephant in between the herd that was running so fast to keep up with the large elephants big steps. It was so cute to see how protective the elephants were of the baby who was in the middle running to keep up. We went under some trees and there were 6 lionesses lying there with their baby cubs. We were so close that we could hear the lions breathing and the cubs crying. It was such an amazing experience. Junior took me to this orphanage of all girls in which all of the parents had dyed from AIDs. I donated hundreds of dollars to the orphanage and the girls all ran up to give me a big hug. I will never forget that experience and it was able to help distance the memories of my painful experience growing up bullied and called a gay fag to see hundreds of girls living in this orphanage without any parents and what they were going through yet never looking back or giving up hope.
