Identify two variables for which I would utilize a repeated measures ANOVA in my analysis. Describe the variables and their scale of measurement. Identify whether each factor is fixed or repeating. Where on the SPSS output would you look to find out if you violated the assumption of sphericity? If the data did violate this assumption, what would the impact be on your analysis?

My area of interest is low motivation in patients with schizophrenia. The effects of low motivation on quality of life and successful treatments for low motivation in patients diagnosed with schizophrenia.

A fixed variable might be participants with group A receiving treatment as usual and group B receiving a new treatment called MOVE. MOVE treatment therapists used a series of didactic and in vivo sessions at patient homes. Patients were assessed at 3, 6, and 9 months using multiple measures of motivation. Treatment as usual included medication follow up and case management provided by state mental health agency.
