In Phase 2, your team will work together to develop a detailed description and implementation plan for the innovation you selected to pursue in Module 3. Each team member must research and describe a product development or management process, methodology, or model that could be utilized to implement the innovation. The group should select and use one of these models for developing its own implementation plan.
For this assignment, write a paper of 2,000-3,000 words that addresses the following:
1. Finalize the name and include a one- or two-sentence description of the innovation.
2. Describe the value the new product or service will provide to customers and describe the need it will meet.
3. Utilizing the model selected by the team, create the detailed implementation plan for the innovation. Make sure the plan accounts for contingencies/risks in the implementation process and includes realistic timeframe and budgeting considerations.
4. Use graphics such as organizational charts, process maps, and/or budget tables as appropriate to increase the readability and professional appeal of the plan.
5. Include in-text citations from at least six secondary sources. Each person on the team must contribute an article from the research that was completed on product development or management processes, methodologies, and/or models.
Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.
Selected Idea
ScrapBook Buddy is an innovative idea that we as a group decided to move forward with. We enjoy the idea of taking something that everyone can relate to and innovating a way to make the process of organization easier. "For any organization pursuing a vision and strategy with a focus on innovation, creating and sustaining a culture to support it is a key foundation stone. For organizations trying to increase their focus on innovation, it is particularly important to recognize that without the reinforcement of changes within the underlying culture, they will quickly slip back into their old, familiar and less innovative ways of working." Summary
Innovation is an essential part of being able to take ideas and make them a reality. "Talented, innovative people want to work for innovative companies. You are not going to attract someone who is going to create the next massive thing unless your company has a history of creating" (Tredgold, 2019, p.1). Scrap Book Buddy allows an individual to maintain these lifelong memories at a low fee.
The act of innovating is a way of introducing new ideas, things or methods. This can be extremely successful to scrap book buddy. Each family or individual participating in the scrapbooking may create and share various ideas of the process. In a digital world, ideas are so vast and numerous. However, many people nowmake collages and screenshots of various photos that are memories. Scrapbooking is way to have photos from the birth of a child, a wedding, or any other memorable life event.
SNIFF Model
S- Strategy - Families and organizations could have a strategy for the scrapbooking to tell a story of history or of a plan for the future.
N-Need-Scrapbooking can be used to brainstorm a plan to expand or grow an organization. Scrapbooking could also be used by an organization/department to improve workflow or the needs of the department.
I-Impact - The impact of scrapbooking as a means to improve workflow or processes would be extremely valuable not only to the department but also to organization. The impact could possibly bring opportunities of employment or more importantly alleviate gaps by utilizing innovation gained from scrapbooking. The team would be scrapbook buddies that would improve morale.
F- Feasibility - In an organizational department, the timeframe may be set by the buddy team. I have participated on project that lasted six weeks or two years.
F-Feel - Brainstorming using the scrapbooking method allows participants to feel empowered by working through issues to obtain a viable outcome.
Selection Process
The selection process began once all the innovative ideas were submitted by all the group members. After reading each idea and process how the idea would benefit the consumer, each group member voted one which idea they believed was best, with an explanation as to why the idea they chose is best to the consumer.
