Analytic Epidemiology: Types of Study Design

Visit Epiville: Cohort Study: Case Analysis. Read the retrospective cohort study that investigated the possible causes of a rare and debilitating disease. As an intern at the Epiville Department of Health, you will be involved in implementing the study design. Answer the three questions at the end of the case study in detail. Describe the two major approaches (observational and experimental) used in analytic studies and which circumstances would merit use of either approach.
