• Imagine yourself in the role of an accountant who is researching accounting systems for a small organization. You have been asked to share your findings with the leadership (owners).
• For this assignment, the task is to analyze the digital fluency required to select the appropriate approach and tool to share your findings by answering the questions in the template provided.

Introduction

In a minimum of one paragraph,

1. Restate the scenario you selected in first person. For example, "I am imagining myself as..."

2. Explain the task the scenario is asking you to complete. For example, "I have been asked to..." Focus on the task-for example, making a presentation-not what the presentation will be about (e.g., a nursing shortage).

Describe the technical proficiency required for this task by addressing the following:

• Identify at least two digital tools that could accomplish this task.
• Describe at least two basic features of each digital tool that could be useful for accomplishing the task.
• From the two possible tools you identified, select the best digital tool for this task.
• Explain at least two reasons for choosing this tool.

Describe the digital literacy required for this task by addressing the following:

• What steps should you take to verify the trustworthiness of any material (data, information, images, videos, etc.) you would need to complete the task in this scenario? For example, information that might need to be shared with the intended audience in advance or after the task is completed, or information gathered to inform your presentation, report, etc.
• If appropriate, identify the social media platform you would select to invite reflection from your audience (anyone who may have viewed, participated in, or were aware of your task). If not appropriate, explain why.
• Analyze two benefits and risks of sharing information on the selected social media platform, if any. (Consider the privacy, safety, and security of the audience or information).

• Assess your level of confidence about using this process to apply the components of digital fluency to future tasks.
