For those completely unfamiliar with Microsoft® PowerPoint®, you can find many great tutorials by searching online.

Format the text of your presentation, film titles and References slide consistent with APA guidelines. There is a document to help with film title format and citation under Week 1 Recommended Activities.

Submit your completed PowerPoint® to the Assignment Files tab.

Create a Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation of at least 9 slides for one of the following cinemas/topics:

• Third Cinema

• Indian Cinema

• African Cinema

• Chinese Cinema

• Iranian Cinema

• Women Filmmakers

• African American Cinema

• LGBT Film History

For the 9 required slides, include a slide for each of the following:

1. Title slide: Your name and the title of your presentation

2. Brief overview/description of your selected cinema/topic

3. Tell us why you chose your specific topic

4. A brief history of your topic

5. A discussion of themes/types of films in your topic, which can include: conventions, genres, possible cinematic elements, cultural topics, and narrative styles.

6. Name some of the more important actors

7. Name some of the more important directors

8. Describe the story of one film in your topic.

9. A References slide with proper citation of all films mentioned and all sources you have used for information for your presentation.

NOTE: You may use more slides if you wish, and you may include images. You may use the "notes" section in PowerPoint® to write your more detailed information.
