Describe the size of the group

Case: Locate and observe any group in its "natural setting." A group must contain at least three people and your observation should be at least twenty minutes long (if the group disbands before you reach twenty minutes of observation, observe another group for the remainder of the time--for a total of twenty minutes across the groups). Make sure you're in a position to take notes, and pay careful attention to body language as you may not be able to hear everything that is said in a group.

1. Describe the size of the group, who made up the group (basic demographic factors insofar as you know), where the group was meeting, what its "purpose" was, and any other information that would be important for context.

2. What dynamics did you notive about the group? What have you learned from the text that could help you explain what you saw? How did the setting affect the group dynamics?

3. (If applicable) If you observed more than one group, compare them.
