Job stress and its negative effect on both employees and the organization are a growing concern for managers and supervisors. Reducing stress not only improves workplace morale, but also increases chances for employee retention, customer satisfaction, and overall improvement to the bottom-line profits.

Review both Maslow's Hierarchy of Need and Herzberg's Two-Factor Theory.

Identify three workplace stressors and describe the situation that most often causes the stressor.

Describe each stressor as it relates to Maslow or Herzberg's theories.

Offer at least one stress-reduction strategy for each stressor.
