Assignment:
1. In your made-up situation, are you looking to increase a desired behavior or decrease an undesired behavior?
2. Describe the situation before intervention. For example: who is the subject, what behavior are they doing (or not doing), and why are they doing it? Be concise.
3. What is your chosen method to change that behavior? Describe the contingencies of your proposed treatment.
4. Which of the course terms used to describe consequences that change behaviours best applies to your treatment scenario? Briefly explain why.
5. Which of the discussed research designs have you chosen to test the effectiveness of your treatment?
6. Include a graph showing what you would expect to observe for the situation you have proposed. Include baseline(s) and treatment(s) as appropriate for your chosen design. Make sure that your axes are labeled. Graphs do not need to be precise and can be hand-drawn or done on the computer. You can use the lecture slide figures as inspiration, but make sure you make your own versions!
7. Based on your described scenario, explain any concerns you would need to keep in mind. Are there limitations of your design? Are there ethical considerations you need to acknowledge? Are there things that you have accounted for in your design that show your understanding of these processes? Show that you have thought critically about the situation.
