Question Ethics - We discussed the idea that sometimes a Marketer may have to make a choice between a good business decision and an ethical one (eg paying a bribe to get business, using foreign workers in lower wage countries to reduce manufacturing costs). These decisions are never simple - there are issues on both sides. Describe a personal situation (it does not have to be business related) in which you had to make an ethical choice between doing something that benefited you vs doing "the right thing". If you want a very basic example - a person with financial troubles finds a wallet on the street with lots of money in it. The wallet is high quality and likely belongs to someone wealthy for whom the money is replaceable. You could keep the money, use it to feed your family or pay rent; or you could use the identification in the wallet to find the owner and return it. For your example: - Describe the situation and the conflict involved - Define the thinking you went through to come to your decision There are no "right" or "wrong" answers for this question
