Question: Jane Doe reported to the ER at 1:04 PM with multiple injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident in which the motorcycle she was riding as a passenger was sideswiped by a car which resulted in a collision with a chain-link fence. Her injuries included a severe laceration of the right lateral torso extending approximately 12 inches and running obliquely from posterior to anterior, closed head injury, no fractures reported on x-ray/CT, closed comminuted fracture of the right fibula. Numerous contusions in multiple locations. The patient was unconscious and in shock.
