Frayed cords, damaged equipment, and exposed wiring can cause electrocutions. Crystalline silica exposure can cause respiratory distress and long-term illnesses, as can asbestos. Silica now has its own standard, complete with specific measures that must be followed. Material handling can cvvause musculoskeletal injuries. Lack of housekeeping can cause slips and trips. The hazards are seemingly endless.
