A pharmaceutical company studied the birth weights (in lbs) of babies born to mothers who took special vitamin supplements while pregnant and found the following birth weights:

[7.7 lbs, 8.0 lbs, 8.4 lbs, 6.9 lbs, 7.9 lbs, 7.8 lbs, 8.1 lbs, 7.6 lbs, 8.0 lbs, 7.4 lbs, 7.4 lbs, 7.8 lbs, 7.7 lbs, 7.6 lbs, 8.0 lbs, 8.1 lbs, 7.9 lbs, 7.9 lbs, 7.7 lbs, 8.3 lbs, 9.9 lbs, 7.7 lbs, 7.5 lbs, 7.4 lbs, 8.6 lbs, 8.2 lbs, 7.7 lbs, 7.8 lbs, 7.6 lbs, 7.7 lbs]

Please make a 95% confidence interval for the mean weights of babies whose mothers took vitamin supplements.

Please perform a hypothesis test to ascertain if these babies weights are more than the mean weight for the population of all babies which is 7.7 lb using α = .025.

Please describe the relationship between the confidence interval and the hypothesis test.
